The "Texas Tea Party"

Governor Rick Perry told reporters on 15 of April that "Texans are fed up with federal tax policies, and might get so fed up that they decide they want to secede from the union", after he attended the anti-tax tea party rally in Austin. The funny thing is MOST of the people quoted in this article believe secession from the US is an actual option and it’s really not and hasn’t been an option since the civil war. All states who were part of the civil war can’t secede from the USA regardless of reasons. I believe Perry is just talking big game about things he seems to be ignorant about. What’s worse is that the college students who were asked about the topic said they honestly believed that secession is a very legitimate answer for Texas’ problems with federal government.
